The Lux Keratin ("we", "us") is a hair salon at 6316 Laurel Canyon Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit theluxkeratin.com or book an appointment, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Booking details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the service and time you choose, and any note you add.
Payment card: to hold your appointment, your card is saved by our payment processor, Square. We never see or store your full card number — we only see the card type and last 4 digits.
Website usage: pages you visit, the ad or link that brought you here (for example a Google or Meta ad click ID and campaign tags), your browser and device type, and your IP address, collected with cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

To book, confirm, remind you about and manage your appointment.
To charge the $50 fee for a no-show or a cancellation less than 48 hours before your appointment, as you agree when booking.
To contact you about your appointment.
To understand how people find us and to measure and improve our advertising.
To protect our booking system from spam and abuse.

Who we share it with

Square — appointment scheduling, customer records, reminders and card storage.
Cloudflare — website hosting, security (Turnstile bot check) and email delivery.
Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — to measure visits and which ads lead to bookings. When you book, we may send these companies an encrypted (hashed) version of your email and phone number so they can match the booking to an ad you saw. This can be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out below.

We do not sell your information for money, and we don't share your booking note or card details with advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep appointment and client records in Square for as long as you are our client and as required for accounting and legal purposes. Advertising and analytics data is kept according to Google's and Meta's retention settings.

Your choices: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

You can opt out of the "sharing" of your information for advertising. When you opt out on this browser, we stop loading the Meta Pixel, tell Google not to use your data for ads, and don't send your booking to Meta. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal sent by some browsers.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to limit the use of sensitive information. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, email bookings@theluxkeratin.com or call (657) 695-8644. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it.

Children

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
